These Association Officers are appointed by the Advisory Board. The term of their positions as per the Association by-laws are as designated. The positions are as follows:

PRESIDENT - Appointed by the Advisory Board, for a term until the office becomes vacant due to his/her resignation, death, or removal by the Advisory Board.
VICE-PRESIDENT - Appointed by the Advisory Board, for a term is until the office becomes vacant due to his/her resignation, death, or removal by the Advisory Board. Will also become Acting- President in the event of the absence or inability of the President to exercise his/her office.

ADVISORY BOARD

The Advisory Board is comprised of no less than five (5) members who are drawn from the: Officers, Board of Directors, Counsel, actively involved Past-Presidents and Life Executive Board members.

They are responsible for the appointment of the Board of Directors, all Officers, Executive Board members, and members of the various committees.

The Advisory Board may remove any member of the Board of Directors, Officer, or other member of the Executive Board by a majority of its members present and voting.

STATE-WIDE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

State-Wide Board of Directors for the Association are appointed by the Advisory Board.

They are involved with the actual: discussion, governing, decision making and voting in reference to the rules and regulations pertaining to the Association.

REGIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTOR CHAIRMEN

These designated individuals are Board of Directors appointed as Regional Chairmen in one of the three (3) training regions of the State (North, Central, South).

Their regional responsibilities are to:

Sign-up new members to the NJNEOA,
Secure interested members to the Board of Directors,
Seek out and secure training venues,
Arrange for training seminars within their regions.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

All Board of Directors for the Association are appointed by the Advisory Board.

They are involved with the actual operation of all Seminars and Training Events held within their region, under the guidance of the Regional Chairman.

PAST PRESIDENTS

These individuals have previously been elected to and held the position of President of the Association. They are considered to be Life Members of the Board of Directors for the Association.

LIFE EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS

These individuals have previously been elected to and held a Vice-President position on the Executive Board for four consecutive years or more. They are considered to be Life Executive Board Members of the Association.

LIFE MEMBERS OF THE BOD

These individuals have previously been elected to and held a position on the Board of Directors of the Association for ten consecutive years or more. They are considered to be Life Members of the Board of Directors for the Association.

CIVILIAN ADVISORY BOARD

These individuals are Non-Law Enforcement, Associate members of the NJNEOA, appointed to this position by the Advisory Board. They support the NJNEOA with ideas and actions furthering the ability of the Association towards completing their mission purpose..
